We believe that every New Zealander should have access to healthy and affordable food.
On top of our mission to offer New Zealanders Everyday Value on the essentials they need most, we are proud to partner with organisations nationwide to increase access to healthy and affordable food. Here are some highlights:
- Our annual Brown Bag appeal for the Christchurch City Mission last year saw 145,000 bags distributed throughout the South Island, giving more than 30,000 food parcels to those in need.
- As part of Foodstuffs, our stores have donated the equivalent of 8 million meals to food rescue organisations nationwide, with 4.2 million of these meals provided by New World stores.
- In partnership with Eat My Lunch over a million Kiwi kids ate healthy and nutrition lunches at school contributing to improved attendance, behaviour and concentration in class.
- We’re committed to make our Pams and Value range healthier and more affordable for our customers. Recently 1,157 Pams and Value products were reformulated to reduce both sodium and sugar.
