Sustainability leadership
At New World, we’re committed to leading the way in New Zealand’s sustainable future. We do this by making it easier for our customers to shop sustainably by reducing plastic in our produce departments through to helping customers ‘go reusable’ at check-out and serve-over. We also believe in walking the talk, so we run an award-winning waste minimisation programme and have a growing fleet of electric vans zipping around the country.

All New World stores are 100% New Zealand owned and operated. Each store proudly supports charities and groups that reflect their unique local community. From the primary school around the corner to the local beach clean, we are committed to making a real difference for our communities across New Zealand.
Healthy and affordable food
Healthy food makes healthy communities. Access to affordable and healthy food should not be a privilege. We are committed to doing our bit through our private label Pams and Value brands , and our partnerships with Food For Thought, food banks and food rescue organisations.
