Movie night platter
Cuddle up with blankets, put on your favourite movie and enjoy this movie night platter for a fun winter night in. The whole family can enjoy this assortment of finger food. From the crispy crumbed chicken tenders to the baked wedges, vegetables sticks, popcorn, corn chips and an assortment of dips or sauces, you’re all set for an incredible evening.

- ½ cup plain flour
- 1 ½ tsp paprika
- 750g chicken tenderloins
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 ½ cups breadcrumbs
- 750g frozen potato wedges or chips
- Your favourite dips or sauces (we used tomato sauce, spinach and feta and hummus)
- Vegetable sticks (we used carrot and celery)
- Corn chips
- Your favourite popcorn
Method
- Preheat your oven to 180°C fan bake. In a shallow bowl combine the flour and paprika with salt and pepper. Crumb the tenderloins by first coating in the seasoned flour, followed by the egg and then finally the breadcrumbs.
- Place the chicken on a line baking tray, spray or drizzle with oil and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Meanwhile prepare the potato wedges according to the packet instructions.
- Arrange your selected dips on a large serving platter with the chicken tenders and wedges.
- Fill any gaps with the vegetable sticks, corn chips and popcorn, then serve and enjoy.
Tips:
- Add a touch of sweetness to this platter with sliced fruits of your choosing. Apples and oranges are a favourite with our tamariki.
- For a cheats alternative and less prep work, pickup a pack of your favourite frozen chicken tender, nuggets or nibbles and cook according to packet instructions instead of making your own.
