Homemade plum jam
Spread your homemade plum jam over scones, toast, cakes or use as a tasty tart filling for the ultimate morning or afternoon tea. All you’ll need is three ingredients and sterilised jars to store your divine jam.

- 8 plums, chopped
- 1 ½ cups caster sugar
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
Method
- In a large heavy based saucepan over medium heat, combine plums and a quarter cup of water. Bring up to a simmer and cook for 5-10 minutes or until the plums have mostly softened.
- Stir through sugar and lemon juice and simmer for a further 25-30 minutes or until reduced and thickened.
- Remove from the heat and leave to cool for 10 minutes.
- Carefully transfer the jam into sterilised jars and set aside to cool completely.
- Store in a dark place unopened for up to 3 months or in a fridge once opened.
