How to cook pork on the BBQ
Fire up the BBQ and learn how to cook pork to perfection!

- 4 pork shoulder chops, loin chops, steaks
- Thyme and Garlic Rub
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- ½ lemon
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 Tbsp fresh thyme leaves
- Salt + pepper
Method
- In a small bowl combine olive oil, the juice and zest of the lemon, garlic and thyme.
- Place the pork in a shallow dish, pour over the lemon mixture and toss to coat. Cover and leave to marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- Preheat your BBQ to medium-high heat.
- Remove the pork from the marinade and season with salt and pepper.
- Place the pork on the BBQ and cook for 6 minutes, then flip and cook for a further 2 minutes.
- Set the pork aside on a plate to rest for 2 minutes before serving.
Top tip: Ensure that the pork comes up to room temperature before you place it on the BBQ to ensure an even, quicker cook. This should take around 15-30 minutes.
Perfectly cooked pork can be achieved through the 6+2+2 method, outlined in the method. This includes 6 minutes of cooking on one side, before flipping and cooking for a further 2 minutes on the other side. Set aside to rest for 2 minutes, and then you have deliciously succulent pork ready to eat.
