- Make a well in the centre of the dry ingredients and pour the milk mixture into the flour along with the melted butter and chocolate chunks. Mix until well combined.
- Using a piece of kitchen paper dipped into the melted butter, wipe the base and sides of the slow cooker bowl and set the heat function to high.
- Spoon the batter into the slow cooker, smoothing over the surface to give an even layer.
- Mix together the boiling water, brown sugar and cocoa. Gently pour the liquid evenly over the pudding batter.
- Cover and cook for 2 hours until the pudding feels firm.
- Serve with softy whipped Pams Cream and/or ice cream.
Recipe Tips:
- We suggest using dark chocolate chunks, but you could also use dark chocolate chips or even milk chocolate chunks/chips if they’re all you have on hand.
- Full cream milk works best in this recipe for the flavour, but if you don’t have this available you can also use lite or skim milk.
FAQs:
- What should you serve with saucy chocolate pudding?
- To balance the richness of the pudding, we recommend serving yours with a large dollop of fresh cream or vanilla ice cream. You could also use Greek yoghurt if you’re looking for a slightly healthier option, along with some fresh or frozen berries.
- Can you cook this in the oven?
- Yes, it’s possible, but you’d need to adjust the cooking time depending on your oven. This Chocolate upside down pudding is another great option that is created to be baked in the oven.
