Infused ice cubes

Upgrade your drinks game with these infused ice cubes. They’re such a great party trick and an easy way to add interest and flavour to any glass of your choosing. We’ll show you how to do it three different ways with fruit, juice and herbs so you can join in on the fun.

Fresh fruit ice cubes

  • Fresh seasonal fruit (berries, orange, kiwifruit etc)
  •  Water

Fruit juice ice cubes

  • Your favourite fruit juice (orange, cranberry, pineapple etc)

Fresh herb ice cubes

  • Fresh herbs (mint, rosemary etc)
  • Lemon, sliced
  • Cucumber, sliced
  • Water

Method


Fresh fruit ice cubes

  1. In an ice tray of your choice, place sliced fruit into each cube mould. Top with cool water, then place in the freezer for 6 hours or until frozen (size dependant).

Fruit juice ice cubes

  1. Fill an ice tray of your choice with fruit juice. 
  2. Place in the freezer for 6 hours or until frozen (size dependent).

Fresh herb ice cubes

  1. Distribute herbs, lemon and cucumber into the cube moulds of an ice cube tray of your choice. Top with cool water.
  2. Place in the freezer for 6 hours or until frozen (size dependent)

Top tip: Get your tamariki involved with creating their very own custom ice cubes. Set up a station and allow them to pick their favourite infusions and later watch in amazement when added to their own drinks. It’s a great way to transform simple water into something more exciting!
