Marinated eye fillet steak
"This is a recipe I made up many years ago and I think it is absolutely delicious."

- 4 beef eye fillet steaks
- 1 Tbsp plum sauce (Delmaine)
- 1 Tbsp sweet chilli sauce
- 1 tsp fish sauce
- 1 tsp brown sugar (or honey)
- Half tsp red curry paste
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 cm piece ginger, grated
- Sprinkle of salt & pepper
Method
- In a bowl combine plum sauce, sweet chilli sauce, fish sauce, sugar, curry paste, garlic, ginger, salt & pepper. Mix well.
- Add steaks and coat in marinade. Cover and refrigerate for a couple of hours.
- Heat a little oil in a fry pan on high heat, pick up steaks with tongs and shake most of the marinade off then cook to your liking (about 3-4 mins each side).
