Slow cooker teriyaki beef
A relishing meal for the whānau that’s packed full of veggies and tasty tender beef. All assembled in a slow cooker, this slow cooker teriyaki beef, is great any day of the week.
Serve with rice tossed with toasted sesame seeds, sesame oil and sliced spring onion for a flavourful accompaniment.

- 1kg beef chuck or rump steak, diced
- 2 onions, sliced
- 400g teriyaki stir fry sauce
- 1 cup beef stock
- 2 carrots, halved lengthwise and thinly sliced
- 1 broccoli, cut into florets
Method
- Place the beef in a slow cooker, along with the onion, teriyaki sauce and beef stock. Stir to combine.
- Cook on high for 4-5 hours or until the beef is just tender.
- Add carrots and broccoli and stir to combine. Cook for a final 20-30 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
- Serve and enjoy.
Top tip: To bulk up this meal, add a sliced capsicum in with the broccoli and carrots.
