Sesame sriracha and honey beef skewers
Succulently sweet with a touch of spice, these sesame sriracha and honey beef skewers are a delicious meal for the whole whānau. Serve with steaming hot Jasmine rice and garnish with sliced spring onion for a good time. The beef can also be marinated the day before and stored in the fridge, ready for a quick meal the next day!

- ¼ cup sriracha
- 1 ½ tbsp honey
- 3 tbsp sesame oil
- 1kg beef rump steaks, cut into 3 cm cubes
- 3 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
Method
- In a large bowl, mix together the sriracha, honey and sesame oil. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the beef and mix well until well combined. Set aside to marinate for 20 minutes.
- Thread the marinated beef onto skewers.
- Bring a drizzle of oil to high heat in a frying pan or grill pan. Working in batches, cook the skewers for 6-8 minutes or until cooked through, turning often.
- Once cooked, set aside to rest for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with sesame seeds to serve.
Tips:
- Serve these skewers with a side of blanched Asian greens such as bok choy tossed with oyster sauce.
