Terms and conditions

Entry into this competition is deemed acceptance of these and any other applicable terms and conditions. This competition may have additional terms and conditions and wherever possible the additional terms and conditions will be posted at www.newworld.co.nz.

Promoter

1. The Promoter of this competition is B and L Good Limited (New World Brookfield). 

Promotion Period 

2. The competition commences on 11 April 2025 and runs until close of trade on 28 April 2025 (Promotion Period).  

Method of Entry

3. To enter the prize draw, you must: 

a. be a pupil currently attending Te Kura o Manunui school;
b. complete the colouring competition in the landscape A3 colouring page provided and have a parent or guardian complete the required information on the colouring page; and
c. submit your entry in accordance with clause 4(b) by handing it to a New World Brookfield employee at the checkout or customer service area instore at New World Brookfield,
 (together, an Eligible Entry).  For completeness, a student attending any other school other than that set out at clause 3(a) is not eligible to enter this competition.

Eligibility to enter and to win a prize

4. To be eligible to enter this competition and win a prize:

(a) you cannot be a New World Brookfield or Foodstuffs North Island staff member; 
(b) you must have made an Eligible Entry; and
(c) you must a primary school student in year 1 to year 6 currently attending Te Kura o Manunui school. At New World Brookfield’s sole discretion, a parent or legal guardian who is 18 years of age or older, may be asked to sign an acknowledgement of their agreement to these Terms and Conditions.

Prizes and how winners will be selected

5. There are three (3) prizes available to be won in total.  The first prize winner will receive a $200 Prezzy Gift Card, and the second and third prize winners will each receive a $100 Prezzy Gift Card (each, a Prize).  The total value of the Prize pool is $400.

6. The three winners will be selected from all Eligible Entries by 19 May 2025 at the discretion of New World Brookfield. 

If Prize becomes unavailable

7. Subject to any applicable law that cannot be excluded, New World Brookfield is not responsible or liable for any loss suffered by any entrant in the event that a Prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond its control.  In this event, New World Brookfield may substitute a prize of its choice.

Notifying winners

8. Winner(s) will be notified by New World Brookfield 5 working days after the Prize draw, via the parents or guardians contact details provided when entering the competition. In the event that a winner cannot be contacted within 7 working days of a draw occurring or if New World Brookfield determines that a winner is not eligible to participate in a draw the Prize will be forfeited, a further draw will be conducted, and the Prize allocated to the new winner.

9. New World Brookfield is not responsible if a winner cannot be contacted following the draw due to incorrect or out of date contact details being provided, and any such winner will forfeit the Prize to the next eligible winner, on these Terms and Conditions.

Prize conditions

10. The Prize winners, and a parent or legal guardian, must collect the Prize from New World Brookfield. If Prize winner(s) are unable to collect at that store, within the collection period stated, a further draw may be conducted and the Prize allocated to a new winner. 

11. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or negotiable and are not redeemable for cash. 

12. Winners can only be awarded one Prize.  If a winner is drawn for any additional Prize, the Prize will be forfeited, a further draw will be conducted and the Prize allocated to the new winner.

Verifying compliance with these terms

13. New World Brookfield reserves the right to verify the identity of any entrant (including an entrant's identity, age, city/town of residence and place of employment) and to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry or refuse to award a Prize where false or misleading details have been given by an entrant, or an entrant has behaved in a fraudulent or dishonest manner, or otherwise than in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. 

Exclusion of liability

14. Subject to any applicable laws which cannot be excluded, New World Brookfield, Foodstuffs North Island Limited, their respective employees and agents will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature incurred or suffered by any person (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with this competition or with winning, redeeming or benefiting from the Prize.

Disputes

15. In the event of a dispute concerning any aspect of the competition (including eligibility), the decision of New World Brookfield will be final.  No correspondence concerning any decision made by New World Brookfield will be entered into.

Additional terms

16. New World Brookfield reserves the right to amend, suspend or terminate the competition and these Terms and Conditions at any time. 

Publicity and privacy

17. All entries remain the property of New World Brookfield and Foodstuffs North Island Limited.  Your personal information may be used to conduct this competition and for future promotional and publicity purposes in relation to this competition. By entering this competition, your parent or legal guardian consents to the use of their, and their children’s, personal information for these purposes. Foodstuffs’ New World Privacy Policy will apply to all personal information that we collect from you.  

18. By entering this competition, your parent or legal guardian agrees that if you are a winner, your parent or guardian may be asked if you are available for an interview relating to this competition for no compensation.  You and your parent or guardian can choose whether to participate in the interview at your discretion.  The interview must take place with your parent or guardian present.  New World Brookfield will obtain your parent or guardian’s prior written consent before using any information obtained during the interview.

19. Without limiting clause 17, by entering this competition, you and your parent or guardian agree that New World Brookfield may use your name, age, school and drawing included on the colouring competition page referred to at clause 3, and any information provided during the interview (if applicable) (together, the “Information”) may be used for publicity and promotional purposes.  Specifically, by entering this competition you and your parent or guardian agree:

a. for the Information to be published on any platform New World Brookfield choose, including social media and local newspaper(s); and
b. for the artwork included on the colouring competition page referred to at clause 4 to be displayed in store at New World Brookfield and on New World Brookfield’s delivery van for up to one year from the date it is first displayed.
