Chicken souvlaki platter
A sensational Greek-inspired feast that’s perfect for when you have guests over. This chicken souvlaki platter is just drool worthy. It’s got grilled chicken skewers, warmed garlic pita bread, cucumber yoghurt and refreshing cucumber.

- 500g chicken thigh, cut into bite-size pieces
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 lemons
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 4 garlic pita bread, warmed
- Premade cucumber yoghurt
- ½ cucumber, sliced
Method
- In a large bowl combine chicken, garlic, the juice and zest of one lemon, oregano, salt, pepper and a generous drizzle of olive oil. Cover and place in the fridge to marinade for at least 30 minutes.
- Thread the chicken onto soaked skewers.
- Bring a grill pan or BBQ to medium-high heat and brush with oil. Grill the chicken until browned and cooked through.
- Arrange the skewers on a large serving platter, followed by the pita bread, cucumber yoghurt and cucumber.
- Cut the remaining lemon into wedges and serve with the platter.
Top tip:
- Get creative and adorn your beautiful platter with all your favourite toppings. Fresh herbs, chopped tomatoes, mixed olives, sliced red onion and shredded lettuce are delicious additions.
