BBQ steak open sandwiches
Fire up the BBQ and serve up these moreish steak sandwiches. They are the perfect way to wow the ones you love, on the table in under 30 minutes.

- 600g steak, room temperature (we recommend sirloin or porterhouse)
- 4 slices of crusty bread of your choice
- ⅓ cup Pams Aioli
- 2 cups Pams Mediterranean Rocket
- 2 tomatoes, sliced
- ½ red onion, thinly sliced
Method
- Pat the steaks dry with a paper towel, then drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper. Grill the steak over medium high heat until cooked to your liking; we cook ours for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium rare. Set aside to rest.
- Drizzle olive oil over the bread slices, then toast on the bbq until golden.
- To assemble the open sandwiches, spread aioli over the toasted bread. Top with rocket, followed by the sliced tomato and red onion.
- Slice the steaks, then arrange on top. Season with salt and pepper, then serve and enjoy.
Top Tip:
Add crumbled blue cheese, a fried egg, caramelised onions or relish to these sandwiches for a flavoursome twist!
