Terms & Conditions
Promotion Period
1. Foodstuffs (N.Z.) Limited (Foodstuffs, Promoter or we) is the promoter of the New World ‘Lost Delivery Van’ promotion (Promotion).
2. The Promotion is run online via daily posts on Foodstuffs’ New World Facebook and Instagram page.
3. The Promotion runs from Monday 20 January until 11.59pm Friday 24th January 2025 (Promotion Period).
4. By entering the Promotion, you agree to these terms and conditions.
Prizes and how to enter
5. There is one prize to be won of $6,000 worth of New World Gift Cards (Major Prize). To enter the Major Prize draw, you must correctly guess the location of the lost New World Delivery Van and comment your guess on the final Promotion post on either the New World Facebook or Instagram page posted on Friday 24 January (Friday Promotion Post). To avoid doubt, any comments posted on previous posts relating to the Promotion during the Promotion Period will not be eligible to win the Major Prize.
6. You will only receive one entry into the Major Prize draw even if you comment multiple times on the Friday Promotion Post. The first comment you make on the Friday Promotion Post on either Facebook or Instagram will be your entry into the Major Prize draw. Any subsequent comments will not be eligible.
7. There are twenty-seven (27) spot prizes to be won in total of a $150 New World Gift Card (each a Spot Prize). There are 7 Spot Prizes to be won on Monday 20 January, and 5 to be won on each of Tuesday 21 January, Wednesday 22 January, Thursday 23 January and Friday 24 January. To enter a Spot Prize draw, you must guess the location of the lost New World Delivery Van and comment your guess on the applicable Promotion post before 11.59pm on the day of the relevant Promotion post on the New World Facebook or Instagram page.
8. You will only receive one entry into each Spot Prize draw even if you comment multiple times on the relevant Promotion post. To avoid doubt, this means you will have five opportunities to enter a Spot Prize draw in total.
9. Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt on the New World Facebook or Instagram page and not at the time of transmission by the entrant.
10. Incomplete or invalid entries or those not submitted in accordance with the entry instructions will not be accepted. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.
Prize conditions
11. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or negotiable and are not redeemable for cash.
12. Winners of the Spot Prizes will be randomly drawn from all eligible entries received for each Spot Prize draw, no later than 10am on the working day following the day of the Spot Prize draw. For example, winners of the Spot Prizes from all eligible entries received on Monday 20 January will be drawn by 10am on Tuesday 21 January. Spot Prize winners will be notified via the comments section and direct message on the platform that they entered the prize draw (either Facebook or Instagram) within one week of the draw date.
13. The winner of the Major Prize will be the first correct location commented on either the New World Facebook or Instagram Promotion post on Friday 24 January. If there is more than one correct location comment posted at the same time (based on the time of receipt in accordance with clause 9), the winner will be randomly drawn from all eligible entries received with the same timestamp no later than Tuesday 28 January 2025. The Major Prize winner will be notified via the comments section and direct message on the platform that they entered the prize draw (either Facebook or Instagram) within one week of the draw date.
14. If the winning entrant does not supply their contact details, including contact phone number and secure postage address, within 72 hours of being contacted via the platform used to enter the Promotion and reasonable measures have been taken by or on behalf of the Promoter to make contact with the winner, that prize will be given away to another selected entry drawn in accordance with these terms and conditions. Prizes will be sent to the secure postage address provided by each winner. Each winner must follow the instructions provided to activate the gift card. Foodstuffs will not be responsible for failure to adhere to such instructions. Foodstuffs may request photo identification to verify the identity of each winner. Any information provided will be dealt with in accordance with New World’s Privacy Policy.
15. Winners can only be awarded one Spot Prize. If a winner is drawn for any additional Spot Prize, the Spot Prize will be forfeited, a further draw will be conducted, and the prize allocated to the new winner.
Other terms and eligibility
16. The Promoter’s decisions and the draw results are final and not subject to appeal.

18. The Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate this Promotion at any time.
19. The Promoter may amend these terms and conditions at any time and such amended terms and conditions will be displayed online at www.newworld.co.nz.
20. To be eligible to enter this Promotion and win a prize:
a. you cannot be a Foodstuffs or New World staff member;
b. you must be a New Zealand resident and 18 years of age or older. If a winner is under 18 years of age, at Foodstuffs’ sole discretion, their prize may be deferred to a parent or legal guardian who is 18 years of age or older, who may be asked to sign an acknowledgement of their agreement to these Terms and Conditions, or the prize may be awarded to another winner;
c. you must consent to Foodstuffs using your name, photo, hometown and image for publicity and promotional purposes (including the display of your name in store) and you must make yourself available for publicity photographs relating to the competition on request for no additional compensation.
Exclusion of liability
21. Subject to any applicable laws which cannot be excluded, the Promoter and its employees and agents will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature incurred or suffered by any person (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with this Promotion or with the use of any prize.
22. The Promoter may, in its sole discretion, refuse to provide a prize if it believes that a customer has behaved in a fraudulent or dishonest manner, or otherwise than in accordance with these terms and conditions.
23. Subject to any applicable laws which cannot be excluded, the Promoter, its employees and agents and Meta Platforms, Inc® will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature incurred or suffered by any person (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with this Promotion or with winning, redeeming or benefiting from the prize.
24. The Promoter is not responsible for entries that are late, misdirected or lost and takes no responsibility for any entries not lodged correctly through the New World page on Facebook or Instagram.
25. This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or the responsibility of, Meta Platforms, Inc®. By entering this Promotion, you agree to fully release Meta Platforms, Inc® from, and hold Meta Platforms, Inc® harmless against, any liability suffered or incurred by any person arising directly or indirectly out of this Promotion. You understand that you are providing your information to the Promoter for the purposes of this Promotion.
Disputes
26. In the event of a dispute concerning any aspect of the promotion the decision of the Promoter will be final. No correspondence concerning any decision made by the Promoter will be entered into.
Privacy and Contact
27. All entries remain the property of Foodstuffs. Your personal information may be used to conduct this competition and for future promotional and publicity purposes in relation to this competition. By entering this competition, you consent to the use of your personal information for these purposes. Foodstuffs’ New World Privacy Policy will apply to all personal information that we collect from you.
